Aim of the research are to make a description about extension officer competency in agriculture development and to atalyze the determinant factor affecting it. The conclusion is that communication's competency observed in low category. Competency on accessing information categorized in low
and medium rate, meanwhile competency on identiflng region's potency categorized in high rate. The dominant factors affecting extension competency is their work experience
