Motivasi Petani dalam Penerapan Teknologi Jajar Legowo Padi Sawah

Abstract

SL-PTT program has been disseminated to 24,000 farmer group in 2012 and expected to motivate farmers to apply it. Research has been conducted to determine the level of motivation and the level of farmers' knowledge in the application of rice technology “jajar legowo” in the Sumbaga village, Bumijaya Subdistict, Tegal District in May until August 2013. The sample was 50 farmers in Ngestu Rahayu group of the farmer that applying planting technology "jajar legowo" after following SLPTT activities in 2012. Data collected through questionnaires and interviews with alternative answers using a Lickert scale. Motivation level is calculated based on a percentage of the total score of the answers comparing with the maximum score. The results showed that the motivation of farmers in applying technology "jajar legowo" and their knowledge in "jajar legowo" is relatively high criteria (68.31 % and 67,49% of mean). Education is related to motivation very significantly (r = 0.5003, p = 0.0003) and the experience is related to the knowledge and very significantly (r = 0.6791, p = 0.0000).
